Seolleongtang has been familiar to, and enjoyed by Daejeon citizens ever since a small restaurant near Daejeon Station became famous for its recipe with more than 40 years of history.
Seolleongtang is loved for the characteristic taste of its broth that comes from long boiled beef bones and meat, which goes superbly well with the famous gimchi and kkakdugi that are matured well. |

Dolsotbap |

|
Dolsotbap contains nonglutinous rice, minor cereals (foxtail millet, beans, sorghum), ginkgo nut and carrot. It is generally served with side dishes such as fresh vegetables and 20 types of cooked wild greens. It has gained its fame by the wonderful taste of the bap (cooked rice), which is far superior to the bap made in a traditional cauldron, and as such has become a representative food of Daejeon. |
